Welcome to our Royal Octopus Dive Centre
Royal Octopus 5 stars Dive Centre, formed in 2018 by Instructors Giorgos and Panagiotis (George and Panos), is an official Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) dive centre, located in Kolymbari, just 20 km west of Chania. Our experienced instructors with many years of combined diving experience will help you to enter this new world with safety, confidence and FUN. With over 70% of our world's surface being covered with water, learning to dive can introduce you to a whole new life where you can experience the wonders of the underwater world. There are a variety of programmes available for adults and children whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced, certified diver. PADI qualifications are internationally recognised and include a wide range of specialities such as night dives, cave diving, wreck diving, underwater photography and many more which, when completed, could enable you to dive or even work as a professional diving instructor anywhere around the world. Activities can be arranged for individuals, groups or families and take place at several sites around the beautiful Rodopou Peninsula in the north-west of Crete. All activities and prices include full insurance, equipment, transportation to and from your accommodation and the services of our fully - qualified and highly - experienced instructors. With our brand new SCUBAPRO equipment, PADI accredited courses and friendly staff you will feel totally safe and free to enjoy the undersea world - and just have fun with us.
Panagiotis (Panos) is one the founder-owners of Royal Octopus Dive Centre. He was born in Athens in 1968. Having joined the Greek Navy in 1986 he become a Navy Diver in 1990. His training from Greek and international divers in many dive techniques including Deep Diving, Salvage, Search and Rescue, Anti Terrorism Attacks and Dive Safety. He served in the Navy for 26 years, 22 as a Navy Diver. He is very experienced and has such a love of diving that he wanted to share this with others and decided to become a PADI Dive Master in 2009.
Giorgos (George) is the co-owner of Royal Octopus Dive Centre. Born in New York, USA in 1976 he has lived and grown up in Chania since 1980. In 1994 George joined the Greek Navy and became a navy diver. He has dived throughout Greece with the Navy and was trained in such dive techniques as Deep Diving, Salvage, Search and Rescue, Anti Terrorism Attacks and Dive Safety. He is still in active duty with the Navy and is the Supervising Officer of Navy Divers . He qualified as a PADI Open Water Instructor in 2015.
